Melbury College

Melbury College

A partnership that includes Melrose Secondary & Primary Schools, Canterbury Campus, Lavender Campus, Whatley Campus and Cobham Court.

Welcome from the Alternative Education Headteacher

Cobham Court is a provision that operates within Melbury College and as such is linked to both The Canterbury Campus and Melrose School.

Worsfold House/Cobham Court is a specialist provision which creates bespoke educational packages for a wide variety of pupils with a wide range of needs. We work with local authorities to cater for students with EHCP’s at our Worsfold House site, as well as offering respite and timed interventions for students across Melbury College at our Cobham Court site.

On being admitted to our sites students are allocated a key worker to support them both personally and academically. Students at Worsfold House follow a curriculum, which is similar to that offered at Melrose school and for afternoon lessons we use their staff and facilities. Students at Cobham Court follow a core curriculum. All students, regardless of their pathway study English, Maths and Science and the Princes Trust award.

Students have access to a range of facilities including a gym, indoor recreation areas and cooking facilities.
Cobham Court also arranges and oversees alternative provision placements for students within a continuous monitoring framework. We are currently in partnership with Tooting and Mitcham FC and also offer in house vocational activities including Barbering and Hair and Beauty. In the Summer term 2023 we will be launching an offsite motor mechanics Course
