Collection of Exam Certificates

Your GCSE certificates are important documents, and they are often needed for college, university, apprenticeships or future employment.

Certificates are generally available for collection within 3 months of receiving your examination results. Once we have received them from the awarding bodies, we'll let you know that they are ready to collect.

We ask that certificates are collected in person wherever possible.  If you're unable to collect your certificates yourself, someone else can do so on your behalf. If the student wishes for their parent/carer to collect on their behalf, the student must send written permission via email to the relevant school office prior to them being collected.

Please note that the Exams Officer can only take instructions from the student concerned, not parents/carers or friends

We encourage you to collect your certificates as soon as you can and to keep them in a safe place for the future. You can collect anytime during normal school hours term time only.  If you have any questions about certificate collection, please don't hesitate to contact the office.

The school is only required to hold certificates for a period of 12 months from the date of issue. After this time, the school can send the certificates for secure destruction.

If you have not collected your exam certificates and the school are no longer holding them, you will need to contact the relevant exam boards and follow their replacement certificate procedure. This is a costly and lengthy process which you will need to instigate and pay for yourself.
