Sophie Lawrence
Her role includes working alongside the students, equipping them with the tool/s to make the right decisions and to be on hand to offer advice and information about a whole variety of subjects.ï Educating our pupils rather than an opportunity to criminalise them.
PCïLawrence has addressed social issues such as the studentsï rights when it comes to stop & search and being dealt with by the Police, enabling them to feel comfortable when interacting with the Police. The students have valued having a Safer Officer on site and often make comments like ïYouïre not like normal Police Officers!ï Our aim is to see our students reach their full potential and being on hand to assist them with any issues.

May MaungPsychotherapist/Clinical Specialist
May Maung
May is a Merton CAMHS Clinical Specialist with a background of Art Psychotherapy who works across Melbury College and is at Melrose once a week.
May can do screenings for ADHD and Autism and refer for assessments, mental health assessments and refer up to CAMHS for more moderate to severe mental health difficulties. May also undertakes 1:1 therapeutic work with the children supporting issues such as anger, bereavement, emotional social difficulties, anxiety and depression. May can provide support to parents, hold consultations for parents who have concerns with their children and sign post to services in the borough. May works closely with staff to support children with their emotional and behavioural development.
