Admissions
Whatley Campus is proud to support students who have high-functioning autism. This means students who have an autistic spectrum condition, who are verbal and who are able to access a GCSE-level curriculum. All students at Whatley must have an EHCP for ASC as their primary need. Many of our students also have additional diagnoses of ADHD and/or social, emotional and mental health needs. While we recognise that many students with ASC also have additional needs, they must be secondary to their ASC needs. We are unable to cater for students whose primary need is not ASC, who require full-time permanent one-to-one support, or who have a difficulty which would place them more than 2-3 years below age related learning expectations.
If a parent, carer or educational/SEN professional is interested in a place for a child at Whatley, the child’s case worker should submit the child’s EHCP and any other associated paperwork and reports to Merton SEN. Admission panels for Whatley are held at the end of each month. The school also provides tours for interested parents, carers and professionals which can be arranged by contacting Reception.
We look forward to welcoming you!
